Narendra Modi Cruises Towards Re-Election in 2024 

Sadanand Dhume composes a biweekly column on India and South Asia for WSJ.com. He concentrates on the area’s politics, economics and diplomacy.

Mr. Dhume is likewise a resident fellow at the American Business Institute in Washington, D.C. Formerly he worked as the New Delhi bureau chief of the Far Eastern Economic Evaluation (FEER), and as Indonesia reporter for FEER and The Wall Street Journal Asia.

Mr. Dhume is the author of “My Pal the Enthusiast: Journeys with a Radical Islamist,” (Skyhorse Publishing, 2009), which charts the increase of the extreme Islamist motion in Indonesia. His next book will take a look at India’s improvement because the election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.

Mr. Dhume holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Delhi, a master’s degree in worldwide relations from Princeton University and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. He resides in Washington, D.C. with his better half, and takes a trip regularly to India.
