49ers Pound Dre Greenlaw (Achilles) eliminated of Super Bowl LVIII

LAS VEGAS– San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was eliminated of Super Bowl LVIII versus the Kansas City Chiefs after suffering a left Achilles tendon injury in the 2nd quarter.

Greenlaw’s injury occurred after a San Francisco punt with 9:26 left in the 2nd quarter. Greenlaw was not on the field for the punt and was just running back onto the field for the next protective series when he decreased after taking an action towards the field.

It was a noncontact injury, and though Greenlaw had the ability to hobble to the sideline, he was rapidly required to the locker space on a cart and remained in tears, according to the CBS broadcast.

Greenlaw had 3 takes on before his injury. Oren Burks changed him at weakside linebacker.

Greenlaw missed out on a Week 18 video game versus the Los Angeles Rams with Achilles tendinitis and was still handling it leading up to the NFC divisional round win versus the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 20.

Later On, with 9:10 staying in the 3rd quarter, Deebo Samuel was shocked. However San Francisco’s standout receiver had the ability to stroll off under his own power.
